The annual Lamar County Academic Competition was held on April 15th at Lamar County High School. We appreciate everyone who came out and supported our students. It was an enjoyable evening of students showcasing their academic knowledge.
This was the closest competition we have witnessed in recent years. The Language Arts and Social Studies competitions were both decided by a tie-breaker between Lamar County High and Sulligent.
Congratulations to our teams and scholarship winners. We are so proud of you!
The Lamar County Child Nutrition Program will serve students who are virtual learners this school year. For virtual students, we are offering weekly meal kits that contain 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches except for when there is a planned school holiday or closure. Meal kits for the full-time virtual students are by Pre-order only. Meal kits will include a variety of fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable foods.
Meals will be available for pick up on Tuesdays beginning September 15, from 1:00-1:45 p.m. All meals will be picked up at your child’s school. All virtual learning students will receive a meal identification card. This card will allow anyone to pick up the child’s pre-ordered meal kit even if the child is not present.
To pre-order your child’s meal kit, please sign up on the linked Google form. Options are available for multiple weeks at a time. If you should sign up weekly, please sign up using the Virtual learner Meal Order Form. This form will be closed each Thursday at 2:00 pm and re-opened on Monday at 9:00 am for the next week's pick-up.
If for some reason you are unable to pick up your virtual student's meal kit, you must notify Keri Rogers (email@example.com, 695-7615) on Monday before 4:00 pm. Multiple no-shows will result in your child's name being removed from the list.
The price of the meal kits depends on your child’s meal eligibility:
FREE: No Charge
REDUCED: No Charge throughout the 2020-21 school year.
PAID: No Charge throughout the 2020-21 school year.
